Day 8 - October 5th

Looks like it was a busy day onsite today.  The formwork that will hold the foundations of the house has almost been complete. As well as that the steel frame for the house was delivered. Spent a bit of time getting some photos and video of it all, as it looks like they are almost ready to pour the concrete, depending upon the weather.  It looks to me like they might be able to get it in before the rain hits us on Thursday.

If this is correct it might be a good idea to postpone the pickup of the extra soil a couple of days. Anyone want some free red soil? Great for growing your veges in!

Now for the photos.... (Click on them to make them bigger)

The steel frame was sitting on the neighbours block. Hope they don't mind!

They have also added the rubber seals around the pipes that come in from the concrete floor to assist in preventing termites from getting into the home.....  not that there's going to be to much for them to eat...the neighbours all look like they've built out of timber, so they should eat their home first... ours will just rust : -).

I think this next image is the shower....  It looks like they melted the foam with some sort of chemical?

These are the drains in the bathroom attached to the master bedroom.

This image shows where the power enters the building. The waster is right beside it.....  Not sure if that's a good thing or not ?

Yes...the tap works.

And if your interested.... A video looking around the formwork.....

....and a video from within  the formwork.
