Day 28 - October 25th

I spoke with our site supervisor today. He said that the roofing was supposed to be going up today, but it seems that the builders did not turn up (he had been onsite). Probably because it was raining a little this morning. The roofing material had been delivered, and the company that hires them the scaffolding had also been onsite and set this up for them.

The site supervisor indicated that this week, the roofing will go on, followed by the plumbing rough-ins and then the windows should be delivered next week. We spoke a little about some of the other issues that have popped up along the way, and he is getting them corrected for us. He is very helpful!

Got out to the site again this afternoon to find that someone ? had dumped a load of clay onto the block next door to ours, along with some wet carpet! It seems to be the way that things are done in the building industry? If you don't need it, you simply drive to a building site and dump your rubbish there! I have noted this occurring before as well so it's not just a once off. (By the way... I am sure that Metricon did not do this! I think it was a builder at another site).

Got the invoice for the Frame stage today...will be paying this shortly.

Here are the photos from today:

The roofing material ( most of it's upside down ) - colour: Jasper

--
--
--
The sheeting used to go underneath the roofing material.

--
The scaffolding.... Something to hold onto while you are falling ;->

The front...

--
--
And the rear....

--
Attack of the yellow marker...These are items to be fixed I believe ?

They found our garage door bolt. Right in the corner between the white down pipe and the roofing roll.

--
Must be an overhang here I guess?

--
Ditto

--
The pipe that's in the wrong position.. I found out from the site supervisor that the large pipe is for ventilation of the pipeline under the concrete...

--
The shower recess...and a bolt I found near the edge.

The forecast is looking good this week...

  1. Yellow paint is either from your SS or frame inspection and indicates an over hang issue which the concreters will be expected to fix.
