Today they did a lot of plumbing. The toilets were added ( which is a good thing as the one out the front of the house got blown over in the wind....Grrooooosssss! - picked and back up and I'll leave your imagination as to what happened!). They also added the plumbing in the bathroom (installed the bathtub, and connected the showers). The downpipes were also connected and most of the pipes outside the home were capped off.
They also added the location for the gas tanks as well as its connections. It looks like the painters were onsite today as well with more areas starting to appear glossy!

The place for the gas cylinders

Does this remind you of a very weedy muscle pose?? Or is it just me?

See??? hehehe...

The "painters room" aka the study. Glossy finish on the cupboard.

The Laundry. Sink and tap have been connected.
--
The pipes have been hooked up..
--
And the taps for the washing machine are ready to go as well.
--
The hole for the pipes...I hope they add a plastic ring around it in case water gets on the timber?

The Ensuite

Ensuite shower

Ensuite toilet.

Ensuite cupboards... No pipes just yet...

The instant water heater!

A close up...

The downpipe has been connected and the other pipes have been sealed
Not too sure what those pipes are for exactly??

And now for our "minor" flooding (wasn't as bad as it was on the weekend... We couldn't have done this then). My daughters are enjoying the thrill!!
Does the soft close work for the seat and the cover, or just the cover.
ReplyDeleteI love those basins. Are they part of the standard range of an upgrade?
You actually got fitted off before the painting was complete. I like your SS style. That is smart. Mine will only call others in, when another has finished. Very inefficient.
Is that a pile of unused white sand you got there? We didn't have much left at all, and with the little bit left, our kids treated it like a sand pit.
I can't view that video
Very jealous of your soft close toilet seats. I wanted those but they don;t offer them here - FAIL Metricon. One of many things I encountered that they dont offer here in NSW.
ReplyDeleteLove the basin you have in the bathroom too.
Good to see trades working at the same time - seems very efficient and smart if you ask me!
Looks fantastic! I really like your colour choices and tile selections :)
ReplyDeleteSoft close toilet seats? Wow - very smart! haha!
Hi Jay,
ReplyDeleteI don't recall at the moment about the basins. I think they were included as part of a promotion (I'll check at home tonight). The sand...Yeah. I wondering if they might leave it so the kids could use it?
Shayne,
Pity. I notice that a lot of the builds down there have insulation in the walls and fireplaces.... It's a bit redundant here in QLD. I think alot of the build comes down to the supervisor you get given.
Tonia,
If I only had half of the taste that you do! Your range of choices for you home looks fantastic!

ReplyDeleteMetricon will do a site clean at the end, and they will remove all materials unless you ask. So leave a sign with "LEAVE FOR OWNER" and they will leave it. We did it with a stack of bricks we had left over. But then when we saw the rubbish removalist, we told them we had second thoughts, and that they could take it all.
ReplyDeleteI want to see pictures of the portaloo.
Ahhhh..pictures of the portaloo... you can see it above..It's the blue thing. However, the other side has the door on it, and I can assure you that it isn't blue! Neither is what fell out.. (excuse me...I've got to hurl....) :->
ReplyDeleteDid you pick it back up?
ReplyDeleteYes...very reluctantly..!!
ReplyDeleteLooks very nice Robert.
ReplyDeleteShayne, it is a standard item for that toilet suite to come with a soft close seat.
Shayne,
ReplyDeleteIt's actually a promotion item, which is normally an upgrade. On the paperwork I have it says Toilet: Kohler Panache (upgrade) - White.
Jay and Robert - here in NSW they don't offer that toilet at all - upgrade or standard - believe me I asked :)
ReplyDeleteI have however been to a Reece store and asked about retrofitting soft close seats..LOL
