Have they glossed your doors yet? Were you effected by the storm that hit this afternoon? We had a blackout for 2 and a half hours. It was a mini-tornado.
ReplyDeleteHey Jay! When I left work, I noticed the storm heading over to a northerly direction, so when I got out to the property, there was no rain at all. When I got home however, we'd had power cut. It's only just come back on now. I posted this update just before they cut the last of the power we had (I have never seen it before, but it appears we were having a very long brown out, with the voltage being to low to light the fluros, but enough to dimly light a normal bulb.)
ReplyDeleteThe doors aren't glossy just yet. I think they did the final base coat on them today and are ready to gloss them tomorrow...?
They've still got tiling to do in the main area right? that will happen when you're all fitted out. Then carpetting. Out carpets still haven't arrived. It's been over a week. I don't know where it has to come from. There's going to be issues if it doesn't get here before handover.
ReplyDeleteThe vast majority of the house is tiled. We only have carpet in the bedrooms.
ReplyDeleteWhat happens if the carpet hasn't arrived? Have you made your final payment yet?
I noticed you laundry (photo3) isn't tiled yet. That's odd because that a wet area and waterproofing need to be performed there too.
ReplyDeleteWell my SS has told me with a 100% guarantee that handover will happen on the 17th of Jan. I will be moving things on that day and having furniture and appliances moved, so he will have to grant us access on that day, and even permission to start concreting, landscaping etc, also.

Hi Reinsey! Yes. I found your blog the other day as well. Yes. Most things have gone well. Our Site Supervisor has been great in keeping us up to date and ensuring everything is moving along. How's it going for you?
