Went to the property and had a look around. Like I've seen on most other blogs, no work was done. Tomorrow?? About the only thing I noticed today was a whole pile of birds around the front of the house!!

The birds in this picture are rather lanky?
I got just about nothing left externally, and still the tiler didn't come to do work today.
ReplyDeletehaha at least the birds are enjoying themselves! Lets hope the rain goes by Friday at least
ReplyDeleteI just got my tank delivered Monday. I think it's full now.
ReplyDeleteThat was quick!!! I thought it was about a third full the other day?
ReplyDeleteYes Tonia..Fingers crossed!
ReplyDeleteThe other day it was more like 5% full with a breif heavy shower that lasted 3minutes. Today as you said it pelted down and did not ease off. It's amazing how much water comes off the roof. I would bet it's very close to being full. I will do the tap test tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteHey Robert, are the tilers just doing wet areas? or they going to continue do the rest of the house? You'd be close to painting now. That's the real exciting bit, because straight after is when it all starts to go down hill at an accelerated pace.
BTW you might want to check with your SS, about when he required the tank in.
The Tilers are doing most of the house. Essentially, the bedrooms, are the carpeted areas, whilst most other areas are to be tiled.
ReplyDeleteWe had a problem initially as they included more carpet than we wanted. We ended up paying for the extra tiling in the Rumpus room, and they are going to be providing us with the extra carpet, as it was part of their promotion. At least we could reuse it if needed...
I arranged the water tank a couple of weeks ago. The site supervisor needs to give Bluescope 3-4 weeks notice before he requires it, and he is aware of that.
I got the feeling that the Tiling was being done first and then the painting....I could be wrong though?? It had been a long day when he told me.
Actually I see merit in how your site supervisor is planning it, and do all the tiles at once. Mine had only wet areas done then paint, then tiler comes back. So many inefficiencies in my supervisors way. I reckon I could have been in the house before Christmas if it wasn't for his method of planning. My supervisor has state he doesn't like seeing more than one contractor on site, as they work on top of each other, and cause more problems than anything. I don't see why it could to be honest.
