Well I knew it would happen sooner or later...and today it happened. Yes. the big bad builder went and put the front door lock on! :-<. Ah well! I suppose you can't have everything...
I spoke with our site supervisor today. He said that they should be working on the wall tiles next week along with the initial layer of paint over the walls. Apparently they add a base coat to the walls, and then go through it all and find and repair all the imperfections before they paint the topcoat on it all.
He also indicated that they would be doing the laundry last as they need to be sure that the tiles in this area match up with the tiles in the hallway adjoining it.

The builder has put the tiles in the Ensuite and bathroom today. Looks good. (Couldn't go walking on it of course as they have only just added it and it is setting. I'll be steering well clear of these tiles for a fair while)
