Day 38 - November 4th

Got a phone call today from our site supervisor. We spoke about the loose bolt at the front of the house which seems to be resolved now. We also spoke about the Air conditioning unit mounted in the roof cavity as I was concerned about how it has been mounted. He is going to get the air conditioning guys out again on Monday next week to correct it for us.

We also spoke about the gas piping that is running through the house. I was concerned it was black in colour as in all the other blogs I have seen it is yellow to indicate it is gas. He said that it has a label on the piping to indicate it is gas anyway. At the time I looked it was getting dark and I couldn't see it anyway. I'll check it on the weekend.

I also need to check that it will be ok to run some rope where I need some cabling added at a later stage and so have emailed our site supervisor.

Today it started raining around 10am so they didn't have a lot of time to get much done. The timber doors and windows arrived  and the brickwork started at the front near the doorway. Amazingly, they also got the termiglass added which you can see as the "gravel like" stuff that is sitting on the inside of the white surrounds (It's actually crushed glass as the name indicates).

Now for the pictures...

--
This is the part in between the front door and the garage which sticks out a little way. The timber floor will be added later in front of the doorway.

--

The doorway with the commencement of the brickwork.

--

The first part that has been done.

--

--

--

--
This is one of the poles that sits off the end of the outdoor room.

--
Yes...This is the other! I note that they redid this one, which I am glad of...It looked out of place yesterday with the bricks all around the wrong way...

--

--
The timber bifold doors for the outdoor room.

--

--
The bifold windows that open onto the outdoor room from the rumpus.

--

--
This shows the ledge that the window has.  I love these windows!!

--
The have fixed the bolt on the corner of the house.

--
Behind the garage.

--
A view down the side of the house.

--
A view from the front.

--
I note that this roof truss needs to be fixed.

--
This is the Air conditioner unit, sitting on three beams (just). They are coming to fix it on Monday? (hopefully?)

--
Ditto from the other side.

--
A view from the front. They added two beams that I presume they are using to ensure they are bricking up the wall straight??
