Day 43 - November 9th

Another exciting day at work! We have so much happening and I am really looking forward to seeing it all come together. I have a great team that are all working towards a common goal, and I can start to see how it will be in the end. Still a way to go, but we will get there!

I suppose it's much the same on the building site? There are so many different elements coming together right now, and I can start to see what the finished product may look like.

They have done more of the brickwork today and have also started on the plasterboard today. I took a large number of photos today as well as some video. After walking through the entire site twice, I noticed that the ceiling has been added as well!

--
The bricking in the corner window is now almost complete.

--

They will be ready to start adding the weatherboard cladding soon!

--
They have also started the two poles that go either side of the portico,

--

They managed to get around the back of the house today as well.

  1. Hi I read your profile and found you're almost in the same situation as us. Sold a house, living with parents home. Only we have the in-law here. And it's becoming quite crowded now. We planned to have construction started earlier this year but got delayed with retaining wall approvals. Our original SS was supposed to be Nathan. Then we have Dale as our SS since construction began in August. We have taken progress photos and do a blog and stuff but we've been doing it in Facebook because we have family that keep wanting to know how we're going. If you want to join along and see how we're doing come be a friend to me on www.facebook.com/Jaylu77 I've put it in the notes sections, where you can keep tabs on the progress. Plus a post will come up when I update the blog.

  2. Hi Jay,

I have sent you a request. It's good to see how others are doing.

Any luck with how you are doing the Driveway or Decking?
