Day 49 - November 15th

Worked out what we want to do with the front portico yesterday, and I have drawn some plans up to suit.The handy thing about having the plans, is it gives you some indication of how it should be assembled. Some of the joins would be impossible if assembled in situ, so I suspect I will build the frame and then bring it into place.

Google Sketchup has been just perfect four designing all this and it's pretty simple to use as well! I purposely haven't added the timber decking to it just yet. I still need to work out where all the timber will lie on the surface. I was wanting to have a frame around it all, which will mean adding some extra timber to the frame to allow for this.

At the house today, the cladding has been added to the front of the home and they have started on the eves.  They have also made more progress on the wall down the side of the home and have started to add bricking to the two poles that are supporting the outdoor room.

The plasterers were also onsite today, having added the plaster around the walls to the home. The edging and the interior doors were also delivered and have been bought into the house.
