At the first home the water got into the second level. They needed a hand removing all the nails and remainder of the plasterboard from downstairs. At the second home, we weren't too sure what we were getting into. The home had timber floorboards which were all buckled, and the walls were made from asbestos plasterboard, so we left it alone. In the end, we spent a fair amount of time cleaning the outside walls down and also the driveway and footpath. The water mark can still be seen on their roof!
At the house today, I bumped into a cleaner, who was going through the home cleaning it for the first time. She said she comes another two times before handover. She said they will add the carpets and grout around the edges before she returns again. Then she comes in right before handover!
